The Winds Took Over ... (listening to Jackie Wilson)

Ondale gente ... OK ... so I've been out for un pinche mes ... eses ... the firme cosa about working aqui at Recycled Cholo is the pinche vacation time ... anytime ...

I guess with beisbal season aqui ... the winds just took over ... the firme news is that I am the proud owner of 11 Mickey Mantly cards ... simon ... I just ran into Nolan Ryan's rookie card tambien ... Roberto Clemente's is next ... and which Latino ball player will have the most valuable card ... too early to tell ...

What trips me out is the mass pinche prtotest organized against anti-immigration legislation ... 1/2 million in el lay last weekend and some say that overall, that number was closer to 1 million ... and the day before ... the large number of raza practicing democray in Phoenix ... that was pretty a-pinche-mazing ... then the locitos aquit en naranjaville ... firme ...

A few years ago ... I remember talking to Ed Ochoa ... at the pinche time he was a prof of economics at Cal State LA ... now he's a Provost and VP and Sonoma State ... anyways eses ... we discussed AQMD policy and I told him how it pinche sucked ... and about the organizers like Erik Mann, Lisa Duran et al who were working como chinga to change AQMD reglas ... etc , etc, etc ... he though it was OK but he stated what bothered him was the protesting ... he said trying to relive the pinche '60's was not productive .... Ochoa's cool gente ... that's why he's at Sonoma ... but nothing could be further from the pinche verdad ... in a firme Democracy, gente can do many things but the most important cosas are to VOTE and the right to PROTEST ... tambien the right to organize and that sweet 500,000 is recipe for a third (labor) party ...

I was also glad to see one of the el lay organizers, Xiomara Corpeno, director of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, and a UCRiverside alumni, on the pinche tube win a good debate over Ira Mehlman, media director at the Federation for American Immigration Reform ... weeks before ... she was flattened over an over-time bill in the califas legislature ...

But gracias for the emails about getting my ass up or split ... look for my daily postings to continue ...
