Radical Administration 101 ... (listening to Vodoo Child)

Pues … apparently … sanTana unified escuelita district will be making some cutbacks … simon … seems the district expects to bring in less state funding this year and in the near future … ondale … pues … it’s all push and pull cochinadas pushing the pinche mighty public sector economia en todo lados … and the ninos will pay the price …

It seems that during 2003, 18 of OC’s 27 school districts have seen a pinche decrease in estudiante enrollment … simon … in 2003, there were 505,666 ninos mocosos in OC escuelas … then dropped to 501,499 in 2005, according to the beloved Register … BUTT other districts have seen dips tambien … El Lay … San Diego … Monterey … all the firme ciudades … then a-pinche-gain some condados have seen un pinche CHORRO de increases of estudiantes … this is especially true for Riverside and San Bernardino … especially in ciudades como Moreno Valley, Temecula, and now Banning and Beaumont …

Es que … the pinche COST PARA VIVIR or the cost of living is through the pinche MEXICAN TILE ROOF … we all know the story about the housing cost en Califas … hay un pinche casa on Halladay Steet, aqui en sanTana built in 1956 or ’57 … clean … decent sized yard …probably 1,100 sq feet … new ventanas … right in the Naranjaville barrio … $600K … then there’s a similar casita near Memorial Park for $800K porque it has a PUTA JUNE CLEAVER washroom y AC … so numbers like this push gente out to the Inland Empire where prices are as pinche ridiculous …

Yet … work and jobs pull gente back into OC through commuting … renting rooms … breaking familias … ETCETERA … and anyways … this makes FACILITY PLANNING difficult and shit for PLUSH school administrators … this complex and guessing numbers game cramps their style and interferes with those pinche candle lit pot lucks … simon … it’s a tough job guessing … quieres uno ….

AND … it’s a scary gamble for sanTana cuz we have over $300 million tied up in current school construction, campus renovations and improvements, like Valley HS, and planning and design cochinada for future construction …

So … in all this bullshit numbers game … the estudiantes lose … es que … THE MAN builds new schools with more estudiantes in mind … AND … administrators, through the natural beauracracy process, have driven up their operating cost to support a large student body … pues, now with fewer mocosos around, operating cost apparently remain the same … REMEMBER LAUGHTER …makes some sense … I mean … utilities and shit stay on regardless of estudiante numbers … BUTT some numbers will fall … fewer libros to buy … less on disciplinary admin cost … ETCETERA … and less maestros needed … so less sals y bennies … this will hurt … there’s eve talk about closing down some schools … that’s crazy … and the spin me da osco …

One thing mocoso school administrators can do is RENT out space … simon … this push and pull tiempo is prime time for administrators to BECOME CREATIVE, PROGRESSIVE AND FINANCIALLY RADICAL with their pinche admin skills … FORM PUBLIC PARTNERSHIPS … MAKE PUBLIC SERVICES MORE ACCESSIBLE … school administrators should push to bring in more county agencies into the schools … from the County Health Dept to the Social Services Agencies … some might even argue Probation and law enforcement … these services can be housed closer to the gente … in schools to serve not just estudiantes but the surrounding residents as well … with good planning and safety … Children’s Mental Health services can be provides to estudiantes right there on site … this would save the County funds … staff wouldn’t have to travel …A BIG COST … communications cost would be reduced … ANOTHER BIG COST … perhaps the biggest gap in cost for health services is MISSED APPOINTMENTS … simon, missed appointments means less productivity and less actual billing time for clinicians ... hey, this unproductive time could be reduced and students could just be seen on campus during the day ... and with NARANJAVILLE BOARD OF SUPERVISOR LOU CORREA pushing to get thousand of ninos health insurance … pues where else … hey LOU, bring it directly to the gente … don't let no one get you down, El Lou ... bring it on campus … and then there's OLDER ADULT SERVICES FOR OUR ABUELITOS ... another pinche stinky gap in our barrios ...

Pues … it gets better … check out the GOALS of Naranjaville’s Social Service Dept …

1. To provide services to help vulnerable adults and children in need to receive health care, food, shelter, and clothing;
2. To promote independence and self-sufficiency by helping the unemployed, underemployed, and emancipating youth achieve and sustain stable employment;
3. To promote the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults and children through the availability of child and adult abuse prevention, intervention, and supportive services; and,
4. To lead and support a shared community responsibility for the prevention of child and adult abuse and support of families.

Ondale … where else can these COMMUNITY HEALTH AND SUSTAINABILITY FACTORS be achieved in pinche FULL UTILITY but by going into the communidades … with the gente … NOT ALWAYS DOWNTOWN, BABY … house the staff and operations alli … services become MORE ACCESSIBLE … I mean, that's what the ESTADO WANTS ... que no, MAS ACCESS ... more gente are seen and the Health and Social Service Depts generate more revenues … and the School districts get rent and the estudiantes get all pinche toodle-fucking-oo with health services in their pinche backyards … it’s a WIN-PINCHE–WIN … NO-WRONG-PUERTA-SYTEMS approach … que no ...
