SanTana Electeds Suck Ice-Cream ... y-que (listening to Wild Cherry)

Ondale ... a muchas gracias to my daily must and thee very popular blog blazer LA Observed for mentioning my post on El Clamor Public ... ondale ... gracias homie ...

So ... que pasa con naranja mundo ... ondale ... pues ayer sanTana city council voted on the the vendor matter ... simon, seems like vendors in their pinche trucks pay a small pinche fee for now to set up shop wherever ... eses, can someone tell me why vendors no venden penny pasta ... but these trucks are pinche everywhere y-que ... ahora the ciudad wants to get them vendors in order ... simon, the ciudad estimates there are about 250 vendors selling everything from the legal to illegal ... and these gente park anywhere not near escuelitas ... now sanTana wants to issue 150 permits for vendors and create designated areas where vendors must operate in ... plus a $3,000 license fee to cover all from admin cost to maintenance, etc, etc, etc ... that's alot of cash ... tienen 5-6 year payment plan ... mayor and council and North sanTana folks want this pinche rule but the rest of us gente don't ... and the vendors ... the big, wealthy and connected vendors do ... the rest don't, they just want to pay rent and buy leche ... simon, seems the big vendors are influencing the golden city to create machine gun venderos .... and they're influence seems bigger than northern sanTana folk ...

Pues big assumption, just stoned or what ... ondale ... ayer, the council couldn't decide what to do with the matter ... allow it or not ... listen to the small vendors, big vendors, residents or whoever ... so council voted 6-1 to pass the buck ... simon, they're calling for a 3rd party to step in and handle the threats ... ondale ... Alvarez spoke out, hoping and getting applausos ... get this ... she called her "colleagues" "lazy" for passing the buck and not making decisions ... ondale Alvarez ... LAZY ... hey, homes, I bet LAZY is code for fucking assholes ... hey LAZY ... pinche LAZY ... but the LAZY compliment was before her King Solomon tale ... simon, Alvarez lectured sanTana LIVE about how this vendor baby was killed por nada ...

Pues, after the LAZY 6-1 vote, another pinche vendor item came up for pinche vote ... simon, apply the same reglas to the ice-cream gente ... simon, ice-cream gente must now apply to be part of the bukkake permit process, pay a Double D fee and be restricted to certain anal hours ... hey, get this, the ice-cream gente don't even know about it, they weren't sent letters or nada ... so why the new rule to them ... the pinche vendors requested it, council said ... simon, the big vendors ... but his fucks things up ... simon, this new reg means that my amigo, the ice-cream dude with the "come play in my van" license plate will raise prices ... simon, he sells me a mixed 6-pack for $2 ... and now this could easily be a $3 deal ... sanTana city council doesn't care about its reputation, about justice, about workers and peasants, about struggling vendors or about pinche King Solomon ... y-que ...

Ondale now ... but what bothers me about this is that (a) sanTana city staff is incompetent and (b) our council and mayor refuses to broker deals that'll please sanTana's peasants ... simon, some fat fuck vato goes to the podium representing Code or Planning or whoever ... he's an idiot ... he's so uninformed yet council will ask him questions and get "I think" answers ... it may not be his fault but he makes staff look impotent y incompetent ... how did staff come up with 150 permits ... his pinche answer was something like "I dunno" ... pinche fat fuck ... staff went out maybe twice and eyeballed the 250 or so amount of vendors and pulled 150 out of the hat ... no sense, no logic, no cost/benefit analysis, no intelligent reasoning, no cost-effective analysis ... no clue to manipulate the pinche variables to the max ... it was a chance to shine but no ... nada ... just 150 .... that bothers me cuz, hey the small vendors are our peasant amigos just trying to make ends meet ...

Now here's the pinche difference, en LA, Chulo is not LAZY and brokers a pinche deal between two pinche million dollar vendors ... simon, seems the Bonaventure hotel was pinche suing LA ... LA was going to give Hilton perks like loans, tax breaks, sex, etc, etc, etc worth $290million to build downtown and attract more pinche tourist ... unfair competition dijo Bonaventure ... Chulo doesn't want a third party dictating LA politicos so he steps in and sits with both parties ... the pinche outcome: the Hilton perks will happen and the oudated Bonaventure, pues they win tambien ... they will drop the suit and in ex-pinche-change, Bonaventure can convert up to 400 of its hotel rooms into residential condominiums ... now that's a pinche deal maker ... and living in the Bonaventure ... even mas firme ...

So why couldn't Pulido broker a deal with mobile vendors who aren't millionares ... I mean $6,000 vs $290 million and 150 permits vs sex ... ondale LAZY ... so da vendors trucks aren't pretty ... and they do require some pinche limits and safety (like vendor kids playing hide-n-seek in the truck under boiling menudo) is a pinche concern ... maybe tightening health ordinances was all that was needed or maybe raising the 150 to 175 or 200 or having a 3 violations and your out deal or giving vendors a grading system that must be posted or something that brings credibility, respect, honor back to council and elected positions ...

Pinche Gueys ... still wet afuera and all ... time for a Cafe Mexicano ...

City Council will be against the wall when the 3rd party courts step in. This conflict was textbook politics, shame on coucil!

Street vendors do not belong in Santa Ana. They are cheaters, dirty liars and steal from honest working Americans. They should set up shop in commercial areas and pay taxes like we do. This pro-labor socialist blog is nonsense and cannot be taken seriously.

At 2:52 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Why can't street vendors open up normal businesses instead of operating out of those dirty trucks? Claudia Alvarez is just paying lip service to vendors. Council is doing right by saying no to vendors.

At 2:53 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Save Santa Ana, restrict street vending.

2:50, you're full of crap. You and your department are incompetent mensos and you all hate Mexicans. Your boss is pathetic in front of council, they laugh at him when cameras are off. He can't even answer one question with courage or intelligence. Tell us, how did you fools come up with that ridiculous vendor plan that makes no sense? Thanks to you fools, we'll spend tax dollars on another court battle.

At 2:59 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

2:50, you are such a racist!! You planning people just don't get it. You're the ones ruining SanTana! You're all so consumed with codes and ordinances that you forget planning.

Cholo, who's the gal in the foto??

At 3:01 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Save SanTana? With a planning and code enforcement staff like we have in SanTana? They're incompetent. You planning folk are a joke. Tell us where the 150 came from and really, how many times did staff visit the streets and talk to vendors? Not once, right?

At 3:03 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Even if vendors went to commercial spaces, they would still be held at gun point by council and the Washington Square racist bastards. So tell us, where did 150 come from and whose padding your bill, bastards.

At 3:04 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Pulido is such a weiner. He couldn't get his hands around this. What a joke. Maybe he's spending too much time at AQMD, OCTA and the Great Park BS. Loser!!

At 3:06 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

The whole council sold out to the little vendors. They start a permit and fee battle then let the big vendor guns come in and buy them out. What a shame, poor gente trying to get buy. They have no clue about progressive public policy. I quit the city of SanTana.

At 3:10 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Hey code enforcement! How come the ice-cream vendors? Where did that really come from? What a joke! Don't you realize with street vendors, fewer of us get on the road to purchase goods and therefore reduce traffic in this gridlock town? They also reduce noise and air pollution, mensos! Don't try and pull us into your retail sales tax crap. Traffic, dirty air for taxes, no way!! Viva Vendors!!!!

Yeah Cholo, whose the chic in the pic? She's a hottie. I'd get a sex op to put one of those in her mouth.

At 3:14 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

2:50, you're such a rag doll. Council hates your work and your attitude. Don't blame us. And to apply the same crappy standards on the ice-cream vendors, you're all so lazy to do further investigation into ice-cream gente.

At 3:15 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Phones are ringing over this one Cholo. Hey Cholo, are you a vendor with the gente tambien, or just a communist having fun? Give us the 411.

At 3:17 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

2:52 is totally wrong. Alvarez plays service to everyone. But 2:50 is shit against a wall. Your work sucks dude. Time to leave.

At 3:20 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Ignore 2:50, he's incompetent and on the out. Council and everyone else, they just don't respect you. I was at the meeting, Cholo, and Bustamante reminded us he's from Mater Dei and mentioned his DC trip. He said W said hi to SanTana and reminded us that W was busy. He's another payaso with nothing on his plate.

Who are OC's SCAG reps? Is Pulido on board? That short man has the syndrome. Oh, 2:50, your reviews were returned because you are incompetent.

At 3:24 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Quit guessing and start asking, 2:50. I was also there for the Alvarez King Solomon cosa, she's weird! We know, we know, your a corny lawyer but you're never in the press for that, Alvarez.

Yeah Cholo, eres commie o que? You're econ stuff is way to the left yet your business and politicos is center, what's up with that?

At 3:31 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

So who is digging into Pulidos wig? AQMD, OCTA or Great Park or are their supporters one in all? These agencies are consultant heavy, right cholo, that's why you're here in OC, Measure M mocoso!! Cholo, que pasa with OC's BIA, you know them, right?

What's pathetic was the last SanTana school board meeting. Umberg was there presenting legislative awards to administrators for "jobs well done". Construction also covered the $300 million in school improvements and construction and was told that his presentation was excellent. Then today's paper reports that SanTana has the lowest SAT scores in OC and the state. Seems our fruits are in the wrong tortillas, que no cholo?

At 3:38 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

SanTana planners suck. I'm not sure what the requirements are for the position. Oh yeah, a pulse, knee pads and a YES rubber stamp.

So Cholo, what's up with you on LA Observed? The SCAG folk got a kick.

At 3:48 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Umberg prensted the school district with money for IT student services, got that chismosos.

At 3:49 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Who does Alvarez think she is? Her preaching is awful and just totally weird. Hey Cholo, when do you plan on attending a council meeting?

At 3:51 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Vendors will have to move every 90 minutes. That was council's outcome on that matter, not for a 3rd party to intervene. Get informed.

At 3:52 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

And the chic Cholo? Today's labor post was good and the articles are circulating.

At 4:00 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

3:51, do you really think any vendor will put up with that 90 minute rule? Vending is their means of living. It's going to the courts and won't hold that's why council just let it float. Council should have had staff (a) develop a method to determine city and vendor needs (b) study what other cities are doing with vendors (c) make a presentation on their findings (d) work with council on a proposal (e) present it to the Beautification committee then implment the policy. None of these steps were taken. These steps are public policy 001. What's up with council making sloppy and litigious policy. Even after 2 updates, not presentations, but updates to coucil and months of working on this mess, there still is no implementation policy, it's just staff, city manager and atty guessing on it.

At 4:05 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Great labor articles. Thanks for posting them. Too bad Sweeney won't step down, it's time for new leadership in the AFL-CIO. How with CTW impact OC unions like SEIU or are OC unions just stand-by's?

At 4:12 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

SCAG? Who cares about SCAG. Did anyone get a chance to speak with the vendors assoc? They wanted info on beautification co members.

At 4:12 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

3:51, what are you talking about. You're nuts. If you think that was the "outcome" of the vendor matter, well then go back to sleep. Council knew it was going to the courts, Pulido made that clear so his comment was to just do nothing. What Council should have done was limit their liabilities and cost in this matter. Throwing in the towel just made them look pathetic and indifferent to how they spend tax dollars and to how they view working people.

At 4:17 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Let me make this simple and clear: Pulido made it very clear that whatever council did would not matter. Either the vendors or residents would sue the city. Why bother adding the expense of staff time and consultant fees to this mess. That is tens of thousands of dollars. The courts or mediaton will throw out the 90 minute rule along with other rules council would have approved, then will give direction on resolving the matter. Is that clear, 4:12 or do you need that in Spanish?

At 4:22 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Hey 4:17, lighten up, besides your totally wrong. Don't you people get it. It could have been settle in-house without a third party having to give direction to a city on how to resolve its problems. That's why we vote for officials, to get informed, think and make decisions. Not to pass the buck and pay their attorney friends to make decisions for them. Beside, it'll be legal staff who'll ultimately write the vendor resolution. See the cirlce asshole!!! Understand or do you need that read to you with a white robe on?

At 4:24 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

4:17 is po'd because his vendor work was slapped and shows the pathetic quality of work coming out of that cubicle.

At 4:27 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

4:17, those are big words for someone who gets bumped from project to project. Time to retire old man.

At 4:29 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

4:17 doesn't mean it, he's just tired, right old man!!!

At 4:36 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

In Spanish, don't you realize that council will pay private atty's to represent them in this case then will have those same atty's or city atty's write the vendor resolution. This is too expensive for an issue of this size. Besides, the city will lose a good percentage of vendor fees it might collect through these unnecessary legal fees. It's not a win or lose situation for either side. At the end of the case, vendors will continue operating under new rules. These are rules staff are hired to create, read your job description, and that staff should go out and produce, that's why lazy people like yourself are paid, get it?

At 4:38 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Why don't you know it alls post some names? Then council can call on you experts when they need direction on their duties.

At 4:40 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

The city hopes to lock vendors into a bad situation. It's payback time from the last legal slap. But this won't be the last battle.

At 4:45 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

You gente are forgetting the newest victims, the ice-cream trucks. Hey Cholo, does your ice man really have that perverted license plate "come play in my truck?" That's too funny. The legal matter you're all discussing is about the vendors selling food, fruits, etc but not ice cream trucks. That's another battle and more legal fees for the city for nada. And I don't see any unity from the ice and other vendors coming as council is saying the vendors asked for the ice to be included. Que malos.
